I took these boots for their first outing yesterday and while I can't speak for longevity/wear, they were just outstanding that day.
I wore them through 6miles of slippery rocks / creeks, up and down uneven rocky terrain, and through fields of prickly plants. They were up to the task.
I’m like “Goldilocks” when it comes to footwear. Some are too tight, some are too narrow, and some are too stiff....but these hiking boots were JUST RIGHT and at a good price! They offer good support, even at the ankle and I’ve worn them all day without chafing or discomfort.
I searched multiple websites and brands for hiking boots after I came back from my trip from Zion & Bryce Canyon. These boots are perfect- immediately out of the box they are comfortable and feel very durable on my feet and 'airy and light' like Im wearing a pair of sneakers
What a great boot! This is my first pair of boots EVER- I'm a total sneaker head. I know sneakers won't always cut it, especially if I want to start hiking more rugged trails. Most boots I found looked very masculine (not that I'm a girly girl) but these were a perfect medium.
These are my second pair of these boots and I love them. The first pair I wore right out of the box 16 miles round trip up Mt. LeConte and the second pair I wore right out of the box 23 miles on the Sheltowee. My feet feel happy and cushioned .
Love these boots! Should be great for hiking and walking next fall and winter. Should work well for my diabetic foot problems without my special insoles but will fit them if needed.
I could not recommend these hiking boots enough! I bought them for Machu Picchu and rainbow mountain with very little time to break them in before the hikes, I had zero issues with blisters or sore feet. I wore them through snow, mud and streams and they kept my feet warm and dry.
I am loving these boots. Had to return 1st pair for size adjustment but they were super fast with the swap. These boots are so great I ordered another pair in a different color. I wear hikers all the time. I live in country and walk in woods.
I bought these to take to the Grand Canyon with me in January and they work great! We went through basically 3 season weather while doing that hike (snowy/icy winter, muddy spring, and dry/dusty summer) with these shoes on.
For the price and quality, this year round bit is hard to beat. This was one of two hiking boots I bought for my wife and the lighter of the two. These boots are well designed for both backpacking and day hiking on any terrain. They’re lighter than most of the other boots in the women's hiking category, but they still offer all of the essential features you’ll need, including ample toe and heel protection, a gusseted tongue, a wide toe box, and a well-thought-out lacing system. The design is also breathable and waterproof.
I’m very happy with these, I’m planning a trip in a few months to Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion and though I’m not a heavy hiker, I wanted good footwear for the trails etc that I will be doing. This morning I went on my 2nd short hike in them, thinking to break them in, but I’ve had no discomfort either time.
I bought these boots in July 2018 and let me say they are single handedly one of the best purchases I have made. I originally bought them for hiking with my boyfriend and they've gotten through some serious mud with dry toes. I didn't expect to wear these year round but once the snow came to my area these boots really pulled their weight. I am notorious for falling and busting my butt in rainy and snowy conditions and found myself wearing these to work at any sign of bad weather because the traction on them is amazing.
Just received these... first impression very nice looking, appear well made, nice grip on soles. Ordered my regular size that I get in Merrells. Size works though these seem slightly larger.
